Frequently Asked Questions

Before reading any further ask yourself this question:

Am I prepared to take my puppy to puppy school and then spend at least 12 months at my local obedience club to ensure it is adequately trained and socialised?  If your answer is no, my puppy is not for you.

How much do the puppies cost?

  • From $3000.

Co-Ownership!!!

Sometimes there is a puppy born that just takes my breath away.  These pick of the litter puppies are sometimes available in co-ownership because unfortunately I can't keep them all.  For males I offer generous financial compensation if he is later used at stud.  Females are usually placed for free on a breeding contract.  My priority is for a loving home environment that will work with me to continue the breeding lines.  If you are interested in co-ownership, please call me.

What do I expect with a Diamondswiss puppy?   Expect a lot!

Even before a pregnancy has been announced, I have carefully selected, what I hope will be, a perfect match for my girl.  Both parents must be DNA tested and have acceptable hip and elbow scores before being accepted into my breeding program.  For me, breeding has never been about making money from selling puppies.  It is about breeding the best quality, healthy and sound pups that I possibly can.  For my 2nd litter, I had imported frozen semen to use instead of going down the safer, less expensive road of using a stud dog already in the country.  I have since imported semen from 6 other stud dogs overseas whose lines are not in Australia, with more planned for the future.  Any money left over from breeding expenses is always put back into the breeding to fuel my passion.  You can be assured, your Diamondswiss puppy was planned with perfection in mind.

Your puppy has been nurtured and living inside my home with my other cats and dogs until it reaches around 6 weeks of age.  Then during the day, if it is nice weather, the puppies are allowed to run and play in a purposely built climate controlled safe puppy house and yard or on my large covered veranda.  Weather permitting, they also can enjoy supervised romps around the farm to meet the local horses, goats, sheep and chickens.

From day 3 to day 16 your puppy has had ENS (early neurological stimulation) exercises to help encourage the neurological system which improves growth and development of the puppy's immune system, cardiovascular system (stronger heart beats) and stress tolerance.  From week 3 onwards your puppy has had new experiences almost every day including, new toys, new exercise area, sudden loud noises to assist in startle recovery, recordings of thunderstorms, sirens, children playing, machinery, aeroplanes etc, introductions to the other dogs and cats, grooming (including use of blow dryer), nail trims, commencement of crate training, learning to sit for attention and food etc.  At week 7 temperament tests are conducted by an independent party.

You also get access to a personal "owners only" facebook group where you can keep up to date with other owners, your puppy's siblings, information regarding grooming, training, feeding etc.  And most of all, you have my ongoing support for the life of your dog, all the good, bad and the muddy!.  I don't disappear when you leave with one of my precious puppies.  I am interested in that puppy for life and am always available for advice.

My Guarantee

Diamondswiss puppies come with a contract.  Even those sold as pets!

This contract ensures that you are going to provide a fantastic home for one of my pups, pups that I lovingly brought into this world and raised and loved for the first 8 weeks.  It also gives you my written guarantee against hip and elbow dysplasia and I will also take your puppy back if there are any problems or your circumstances change.

Diamondswiss puppies also come with pet insurance cover for the first 6 weeks covering sickness and accidents to $3000.

How do I get on the list for a puppy?

I have many inquiries about puppies.  My dogs are stunning and I can't take them anywhere without people asking what they are and if I am breeding more.  If you are interested in a Diamondswiss puppy, please contact me for a puppy questionnaire and I will happily place you on a waiting list to be contacted in the future when a litter is due to see if you are still interested.

And how are they with cats did you ask?

Leon arrived in Australia having lived the first 3 years of his life never seeing a cat!  Here he is below with my black Oriental kitten Raven along with the girls cuddling up to the cats also.
