April 2025
April has been a very busy month with competitions every weekend.

We started with a weekend of Scent Work Competitions run by Warragul Obedience Club on 5th - Ivy received her 3rd and final Excellent Containers pass.

On 6th at the Gippsland Obedience Club Ivy entered and passed her first Excellent Interior. At this level there are 2 rooms with 2 odours in 1 room and 1 odour in the other and I don't know how many in each room. We had never attempted this before but Ivy was awesome!
The next weekend on 13th Ivy and I headed to Croydon Dog Club for Obedience where Ivy gained her 3rd and final pass in CD "Companion Dog" and will now have CD in her name. It was a very hot day and she only managed 3rd place. This girl can do anything!

The following weekend was the long Easter weekend and a cluster of dog shows run by Dogs Victoria. This time I took Reign out as a neuter and although she would have rather been anywhere but a dog show she won 2 x R/Up Neuter in Group and came away with 42 points after the weekend so almost half way to her Neuter Champion title.

I was very excited to hear that another Diamondswiss dog was out during the month and Winter "Diamondswiss Guard and Protect" was at Ballarat and managed an impresive 2nd place in CCD Obedience. 1 more for the CCD title.

Finally on Anzac Day Friday 25th we attended a double Scent Work Competition run by the Aussie Shepherd and Bearded Collie Dog Clubs.

Reign and Ivy both did me proud.
Reign passed her 2nd Advanced Containers search and Ivy passed both Excellent Exterior and Interior searches. We had to leave early to come home to lock up chickens and rug horses in the rain but I was thrilled to be told there were only 4 passes in the Excellent Interior searches and my Ivy had come 2nd.
